Tetralysal Box x 16 Capsules 150mg GALDERMA®
Medication formulated to prevent the growth of susceptible organisms (mainly Propionibacterium acnes) on the surface of the skin and reduce the concentration of free fatty acids in sebum. This reduction of free fatty acids in sebum may be an indirect result of inhibition of lipase-producing organisms that convert triglycerides to free fatty acids or it may be a direct result of interference with lipase production in these organisms.
COMPOSITION
Limecycline, equivalent to 300 mg of Tetracycline Base. Excipients: Magnesium Stearate, Hydrated Colloidal Silica.
PRECAUTIONS
This medicine SHOULD NOT BE USED in the following cases:
– In cases of a history of allergy to antibiotics of the Tetracycline family.
– In children under 8 years of age: risk of yellowing of the child's teeth and enamel hypoplasia.
– Concurrent or simultaneous treatment with an oral retinoid (medication indicated for certain severe forms of acne and psoriasis).
– Pregnancy and lactation: Tetracyclines quickly cross the placental barrier and are excreted in milk.
